Blue and gold.

Own it.

The closest of syndicates.

Golden Equinox Racing was born in 2019 out of a shared passion. We wanted to make the thrill of ownership more accessible to people that shared our love of the sport. We wanted to create the the closest of syndicates, where every member is a part of the blue and gold family.

Meet our founders.

Rob Edwards

Partner and Financial Director

I grew up following horse racing with my Dad (that and Leyton Orient). It was always part of my weekends.

My fondness of numbers (and money) led me into a career in accountancy. That world introduced me to a number of business opportunities.

In 2018, I started Equinox Racing with my friend and fellow enthusiast Chris Bennett. We merged with The Golden Horse in 2019, to form Golden Equinox Racing – taking our next big step to take on some of the biggest players in the industry.

Carl Woods

Partner and Racing Manager

I've always dreamt of being a racehorse owner. I never imagined it would be possible for working class family man like myself.

I have been involved
in horseracing as an owner and breeder since 2013, running a successful racing club during that time.

I enjoy the sport. I love our horses. Everything that comes with being a racehorse owner excites me. Being part of the Golden Equinox Racing family has been a dream come true for me.

Steve Morris

Racing Manager

I can remember visiting my uncle's eventing yard and starting to ride ponies at four years old. My interest in racing grew through my father and his mates who owned horses in the early eighties. I have been hooked ever since.

I am passionate about finding the next winners for our club through sales and breeding. I'm always studying pedigrees and bloodlines.

One of my best moments in racing was the evening at Wolverhampton when Sir Lancelot gave Adrian Nicholls his first win as a trainer.
