Our Broodmares & Foals

Golden Equinox Racing not only offers its members great days following our horses at the races, our members can follow the journey of our horses from when they are born at the stud to their life as a racehorse.

Our members can follow our 3 broodmares Samstar, Caramelita and our new mare Dandilion throughout their life after racing, experiencing the process of selecting the stallions, then throughout their pregnancy and to then hopefully giving birth to the clubs future winners.

We already have 3 horses that we have had since they were born to our mares. They are at different stages in their careers, we have a yearling filly in training and a foal related to the great Frankel.

The aim for the future for our breeding program is to have our own stallion so we can fulfil our dream of having a full homebred horse run in our racing colours.

Samstar has now retired from racing due to an injury. We know she had a lot of ability and with her pedigree, we where very keen to add her to our breeding program. We look forward to breeding from her starting in 2020, when we will head to Coolmore to have her covered by one of their exciting stallions.

Caramelita is a nice mare and her first foal Chloellie has become a fine racehorse. She is now a multiple winner and has amassed prize money of over £25k as a 4 year old, and has an official rating in the 70's. Caramelita is by Deportivo so has a fine page, and has made a great start to her breeding. She is the dam to our very own Helvellyn filly, Carmela Soprano.

Dandilion will join our breeding program in 2020 once she finishes her racing career for us. Dandilion is a really exciting sprinter and gave our owners some of the best days racing they've ever had.

Proconsul - Gib

The colt’s sire Proconsul was very lightly raced have only ran twice, but is the full brother to Noble Mission, and the legendary Frankel. He has an extremely exciting page He is out of our very own Gib. He will not go in to training until August 2020 ready for his 2yo career in 2021.
