Di Bello Rosa
We are delighted to announce that shares are available in the exciting two-year-old filly Di Bello Rosa! A daughter of Belardo, she is based with trainer Adrian Nicholls in Thirsk.
Adrian's fledgling training operation continues to go from strength to strength, and this filly looks likely to be a nice type for the 2020 flat season.
An April foal, Di Bella Rosa is out of the well-related Swain mare Toolentidhaar, who won a mile handicap at Kempton. She has since gone on to produce two winners - one in France and one in the US - both of whom have earned well in excess of £20,000 in win and place prize money.
Toolentidhaar is herself a half-sister to the Grp-3 Princess Margaret Stakes winner African Skies, who has since produced the Listed winner and multiple Group-placed Calypso Beat. Their unraced dam Rababah was a sibling of the Listed winner Nakheel and out of the Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Matiya.
Not only does Di Bello Rosa possess a classy tail line, but she is the product of an exciting first-season sire. Belardo won the Grp-1 Dewhurst Stakes on his way to Champion Juvenile honours in 2014, and he confirmed that he was no one hit wonder by winning the Grp-1 Lockinge Stakes as a four-year-old.
A son of the increasingly influential Lope de Vega, his first band of yearlings achieved plenty of success in the sales ring last year, with three €150,000 plus representatives and a 200,000gns top lot.
Belardo is a very good-looking stallion who has stamped his early progeny with lots of quality. Many smart types will surely emerge from his first crop - and there is every reason to believe that the attractive and well-made Di Bella Rosa can be one of them!
Shares cost £200 for each 1% and £30 a month training fees for each 1% purchased.
